Slovenia
A freelance journalist and film critic with a background in cultural studies, she is a regular contributor to Ekran, Kino! and Dialogi magazines, as well as other media outlets focusing on independent cinema. She has served as a jury member at international festivals such as Liffe, St. Petersburg, Rotterdam and Viennale, and regularly collaborates with Slovenia-based film festivals Animateka and Kino Otok. She also writes film education materials, moderates Q&A’s, gives lectures on feminist cinema, and frequently collaborates with podcasts FilmFlow and Filmarija. Zakonjšek is also a member of the selection at the Festival of Slovenian Film.
